Rev. Ralph Laws Rev. Ralph Laws

Rev. Ralph Laws has been in the ministry for over 50 years.  When he had the opportunity to sit down and retire, he refused.  He wanted to be “re-fired” and continue to be used of the Lord.

He joined Dr. Harter and the ministerial staff at Miracle Valley Bible College.  He ministers at various times in the Sunday services at the Miracle Valley Church.

On Sunday evening, September 18, Pastor Laws informed Dr. Harter that he would be having knee surgery Tuesday, September 20.  Dr. Harter spoke with Pastor Laws Tuesday evening and learned that Pastor Laws was doing wonderful and never felt better in all his life.

On Wednesday, September 21, late in the afternoon, Pastor Laws developed a blood clot.  He was immediately taken by helicopter from Sierra Vista to the Tucson Medical Center in Tucson.  A short time later, Dr. Harter received a telephone call from Sister Laws stating that Brother Laws had just passed away.  Dr. Harter met with the Miracle Valley staff and informed them of the death of a dear brother in the Lord.  Everyone went to prayer.

Evidently, a blood clot had gone to Brother Laws’ heart.  Every effort was made to save his life.  Code blue was announced over the speaker.  A few minutes later, the doctor informed Sister Laws that the hospital had done everything possible, but to no avail.  Her husband had expired.  Immediately, Sister Laws made a telephone call to Miracle Valley and informed Dr. Harter of her husband’s death.  Dr. Harter, Sister Harter, and Dr. Robinson immediately left for Tucson.

Upon their arrival, family members and friends were gathered.  However, Sister Laws immediately informed Dr. Harter that a miracle had occurred.  Fifteen to twenty minutes after Brother Laws had expired with no heart beat as stated by the medical profession, the doctor said to Sister Laws that his heart suddenly began to beat again.  Friends, THIS IS A MIRACLE!  The hospital staff was amazed.

Sister Laws was told that Brother Laws would be “brain-dead” since his body had shut down, but when the results of the examination came back, it was discovered that he is NOT “brain-dead.”  Doctors informed her that they now gave Brother Laws a 50-50 chance of making it through the night, but on Thursday morning, he was still alive.  The doctors then gave him a 75 percent change that he could not make it through Thursday.  Praise God, it is now Friday and Brother Laws is still alive.

God declares that He would raise the dead back to life.  Rev. Ralph Laws is a prime example that God is doing wonderful things at Miracle Valley.
