45 - Dr. Melvin Harter
We have been greatly blessed this week by our dear Christian brother, Rev. Peter Contreras.
Pastor Contreras attended Miracle Valley in the early 1960s under Evangelist A. A. Allen.
Now he has come to do everything he can to help us restore these facilties. In doing so, he brought 23 people from his local church in Blue Island, Illinois to help us for five days. These people are carpenters and very hard workers.
It wasn't easy to come to Miracle Valley. First of all, airline tickets had to be purchased. In addition, they purchased various tools, materials, and all of their food at Miracle Valley.
These young people held bake sales, sold dinners at their local church (Bethel Pentecostal Church), and had a tag day on the streets of Blue Island, Illinois. All of this was done in order to raise the funds to come to Miracle Valley and work for five days.
Thank you Pastor & Mrs. Contreras and all of the wonderful people that came to Miracle Valley and worked so hard to help us build walls, remove old shingles, and put plastic on the tabernacle's roof.
May God richly bless them for all of their efforts. I know one thing, Miracle Valley will never forget what they have done for this college campus.
Again, may the Lord bless each of you for all that you have done for us.
Dr. Melvin E. Harter, President - Miracle Valley Bible College & Seminary - Miracle Valley, Arizona. - (520) 366-1000
