We are excited about the proposed Charter School that is prayerfully scheduled for the fall of 2008.  There is a viable need for such a school in our community.  Since we currently have two schools; namely, Palominas and Valley View, our area and its growth requires an additional school.  That is why we are excited about a Charter School being established at Miracle Valley.

Dr. Harter believes that all of the facilities at Miracle Valley should be utilized to their fullness.  Soon there will be hundreds of people coming and going each day at Miracle Valley.  Every empty building will be remodeled and put into good use again.

In the 1960s, there was an active grade school at Miracle Valley.  Several buildings were designed and constructed for this very purpose.  The buildings consisted of large classrooms and public restrooms.  For several years now, these classroom buildings have not been used as they were planned.  Of course, funds were very limited and it was just not enough to maintain the facilities.

Miracle Valley will lease the two classroom buildings to the Dawn Education Group, which is a non-profit incorporation that will be sponsoring the MIRACLE VALLEY CHARTER SCHOOL.

Plans are set to start grades 1-6 in the fall 2008.  Each year thereafter for two years, grades 7 and 8 will be added.  That means that by 2010, Miracle Valley Charter School will offer the community grades 1-8.  Future plans call for a feasible study for a high school to be constructed at Miracle Valley. That means that perhaps there may be someday a school called MIRACLE VALLEY HIGH.

Dawn Education Group is scheduled to go before the Arizona State Board in January 2008 for final approval for its State Charter.

It has not been an easy road.  Nearly three years of planning has gone into this program.  It has required literally hundreds of hours just to get to where we are today.  However, not only is there much paper work involved, as well as planning particular educational programs to be implemented in the fall, there is a tremendous financial obligation as well.

Dawn Education Group must have $50,000 pledged for the Charter School. These monies must be in a bank accout. This insures adequate funding both to promote the Charter School and implement its program.

Not knowing what to do, the Miracle Valley people simply did what they always do - "turn to God in prayer."  It always works.  God never fails.  Prayers resulted in someone pledging $50,000 toward the Charter School.  We praise God for this mighty miracle!

Remember, there is no charge or fee for any student attending MIRACLE VALLEY CHARTER SCHOOL.  It is absolutely free to all families.
